Despite being in a quandary whether the correct spelling of ‘stripey’ was either ‘stripey’ or ‘stripy’ I came to the conclusion that ‘striped’ was the correct way of saying it – nevertheless five minutes of my time was wasted trying to find out that necessary information. Regardless of that shops seem to call it a ‘stripe’ top, confusing if you ask me!
However the striped top is an essential for any wardrobe, its versatile and find the right one it can last you years (or until you see your next one)!
This outfit is an outfit for the trends. Combining a faux suede skirt and oversized denim jacket – it is also perfect for spring! The two skirt options would look great with the top, as they are both(simple yet make the top look so chic *the suede skirt is on my wish list). The shoes dress the outfit up, and the denim jacket pulls the outfit together, this outfit is just heart eye emoji’s x10!
This is definitely a more wearable outfit, the high waisted jeans compliment a striped top so well and I think it’s quite a British approach to what is a very Parisian item of clothing. Yet again the sleek Topshop sunglasses have featured – but I’ve finally bought them *yay for spending money*. But overall I think this outfit is a very everyday outfit, which can be accessorised with a chunky necklace to see you through till the evening.
There’s only a couple ideas on how to wear a striped top, let me know if you have any more and how you would wear a striped top!
