I have a feeling everybody is buying their Christmas gifts so early this year, but with just under a month to go I’ve still yet to hit the shops (in fact I’m going this weekend). It’s my mums birthday in just under two weeks time and I’ve bought theatre tickets so I’m slightly broke for the foreseeable future; memories are worth so much more than money. For those of you that don’t have a clue what to get your friends or family I have a few full proof ideas to get your Christmas shopping well underway.

A makeup kit for someone that is just getting into makeup is a great idea, I think it’s really personal as well. You could include a lipstick, mascara, cheek palette and an eyeshadow palette. Obviously you don’t have to include everything listed, but a couple of things like that would be really nice (especially if they’re a family member or close friend). A good idea for this is a few NYX single eyeshadows for them to create their own eyeshadow palette, it’s not too expensive and cruelty free!
Another great idea is to do a basket full of treats. It can suit all budgets! A couple of nail varnishes, fairy lights, cosy socks (the ones from primark are super cute) and maybe include a couple of Christmas decorations? Christmas decorations are such a great idea and they’re really personal as well! This is probably my favourite idea as you can really adapt it to whoever you’re making it for.
A photo frame/photo book is such a nice idea if you’re really close friends with the person you’re giving the gift to. You can include photos of the two of you and maybe even decorate it with fairy lights (another present that basically screams Christmas).
Urban Outfitters is your best friend. Honestly, the section of homeware and books is the best for present ideas! I’ve asked for some of the homeware items for Christmas as they’re perfect for my room and I have to admit they look great for blog photos. They’re a little more on the pricey side but I think the items from UO are quite unique and they make great stocking fillers. UNIDAYS do a 10% discount code for Urban Outfitters so it’s well worth signing up if you’re a student on a budget but want to buy some nice Christmas gifts.
Going along with the theme of cool, hip presents (remind me never to use the word hip again)
fashion books and just photography type books are such a nice idea. You can generally find them in most books stores however they can be quite expensive. What I do is look at the books in the store then buy them on Amazon as they’re so much cheaper! Anywhere you can find a product for cheaper is great especially around the Christmas period so shopping around will be in your favour.

I’m a sucker for cute
stationary however I don’t tend to buy it for myself. A couple of notebooks, postcard prints and you’ve got yourself a really gorgeous present! Some
amazing websites for cute, quirky and gorgeous stationary are Nouvelle Daily, Rifle Paper co. (They have a lot of uk stockists as well) and Ohh Deer.
There are just a few ideas for Christmas presents and I hope this might give you some inspiration! Have any of you done any Christmas shopping yet?
