The tips that saved my skin

Lately, I have been really confident in my skin and I feel great! I can confidently go out with no makeup on and to some people that may be a small thing but to me it’s a big victory. Confidence is totally personal to individuals but I also think being so confident in my skin lately is due to the way I’ve been treating it. By no means has my redness magically vanished and spots are unheard of but my dryness has dramatically improved and I don’t get the extent of breakouts that I used to.

On days where I’m so worn out or I’m just really tired I can slack with my makeup routine, however something I’ve been doing regularly lately is removing my makeup completely. It may sound totally stupid and most people do take their makeup off but I found I still had makeup left when I just did one cleanse. I now have a skincare routine I love and I make sure I take time at the end of the day to complete it. I start of by taking my makeup off with the Garnier Micellar water; I cannot understand why I stopped using this! To remove my eye makeup I use my trusty Simple cleansing lotion (it is the only makeup remover that doesn’t irritate my eyes and I LOVE it). To just cleanse my skin I use the Vitamin E Cream cleanser; I love the Body Shop skincare because it feels so nice on my skin and the Vitamin E range is just perfect. As a result there is no makeup left and I think that is one thing that has improved my skin.

I have honestly seen such a difference in my skin through drinking more water and staying hydrated. I don’t particularly set a goal of how much I want to drink that day because I know I won’t stay at it but I just try and regularly drink throughout the day. Not only has drinking more water made a difference to my skin but it has also made a difference to my focus and attention. It sounds stupid but I definitely feel more alert and awake as a result of drinking more water. It is such an easy tip and I think it is easily achievable.

    I always find i need to go over my face twice just to make sure everything is definitely off!! I really need to start drinking more water, I just find it so difficult! x

    A cute bottle helps! Urban outfitters do really nice ones and I find that encourages me to drink more! x
