I think the nicest part of this look is that the more you apply the more intense the look is, these shadows are super buildable. It’s a daytime look that can be instantly transformed to a night look, you can totally use silvery eye shadows alongside it to make it slightly more cool toned.
It goes without saying, the Tartlette in bloom palette is blummin’ gorgeous; both the packaging and the shades are gorgeous and I of course had to share with you my favourite look. There a lot of things I adore about this palette, the warm toned pinky/purple shades compliment my green eyes perfectly and I do think this look can be created with other palettes as well (Nars Isolde duo and the Naked 3 palette have similar shades to the ones I’m using).
The eyeshadows are so buttery and glide on easily but I still like to use my Nars smudge proof eyeshadow base under my eyeshadow to ensure they last all day. There is not much else to say about this palette, it lasts incredibly well (we’re talking at least 7 hours without reapplication) and I have to admit the shades are just my favourite, you can create so many looks with just twelve shades (nine mattes and three lusters) you can make yours eyes pop and this therefore concludes my mini Tartlette in Bloom palette review.
Starting with funny girl I sweep it all over the lid as a base with my Real Techniques oval shadow brush. Whilst this is quite a basic look I think that rebel in the crease adds definition and darkens the look slightly. Firecracker is like no other shade I’ve seen before, I apply it to the outer corner of my eye and blend like crazy – you can never blend too much! I usually highlight my brow bone with my concealer, but I’ll highlight the inner corner of my lids (yes to all the beauty terms) with flower child.
On a recent trip to town I had to pop into boots and I wasn’t planning on buying anything until right infront of me happened to be a nyx counter… a NYX counter !! I stood there for at least ten minutes and only came out with two lip creams however I think I might have to go back and purchase a few more things, a dark blue eyeliner included. I think it would go so nicely with this look (also blue mascara wouldn’t go a miss) but I just didn’t think about that at the time and I will probably not be brave enough to wear it out the house.
Ps. Can anyone recommend me any cruelty free concealers that you love, preferably drugstore as I need to buy a new one that isn’t a ridiculous amount of money ?? Tis much appreciated.
