Today’s post is a collab with the gorgeous Jade – we are both doing our makeup of the month! I’ve linked her blog at the bottom of this post so you can read her post so you can get two looks for you to browse.
A look that I’ve been going to a lot this month is a toned down peachy/nude look. I’ve been trying out the Vichy corrective fluid foundation* over the past few weeks and I actually really like it – it is quite full coverage so I don’t need to worry about concealing spots or anything, my skin looks actually quite flawless! A little bit of the wake me up concealer under my eyes and my base is looking dewy and ready to last the whole day.
I love pairing the Nars Laguna bronzer with the Too Faced blush in I will always love you, they are a gorgeous pairing and just chisel my features slightly. Can we just talk about Too Faced packaging for a second – it’s just so pretty to look at *has moment of apprecition*! My favourite highlighter at the moment is the Becca shimmering skin perfector in Champagne Pop; I cannot get over how amazing it is, although I do have to have a light hand with it though as it’s super pigmented and can look unnatural (despite my theory that no amount of highlight is ever too much).
For the eyes I’m staying simple with the naked palette and just putting ” all over the lid – the perfect simple look. Alongside Benefit’s roller lash (I’m having another period of love for this mascara currently) my eyes are good to go! I’ve also been not putting mascara on my bottom lash line lately and I can actually see a difference, my eyes look more awake and my top lashes look longer as well; I know a lot of my friends have done this for ages and I know it’s only a simple thing but I can really see a difference.
I think any lip option goes well with this look, although I’ve loved pairing it with the Kiko lip liner in 704. After seeing someone on Pinterest wearing this I shopped my stash and realised how much I loved it! I’d had it for quite a while in a draw somewhere and can’t believe I haven’t worn it sooner – it’s such a gorgeous rusty red and as lip liners go I rate Kiko’s very highly. That’s the finished look!
