casually stylish

Coat – Mango Jumper – Micha lounge Jeans – Topshop

It’s gradually creeping closer to Christmas and I feel as if I’m not prepared. In my mind I still think I can get away with leaving the house in a denim jacket and not freezing; what am I thinking there? I’ve gradually converted my wardrobe into jumpers, jumpers and well more jumpers. A profuse amount of jumpers paired with different coats and trousers and that basically makes up my winter wardrobe. But is there room for style
and being cosy? Of course! If Alexa Chung can traipse up streets of London like an absolute girl boss in winter then so can you. Need some help? Well I have a few tips that might help you configure your cluster of effortlessly stylish, cosy clothes.

It’s cold so you layers are basically your best friend. A love it or hate it look (I however love it) is a turtleneck under a jumper. Whilst possibly a bit constricting it is cosy and I do think it looks quite cool if you ask me – but yes I will promise to stop using the word cool in my blog posts some time soon.

Esprit is absolutely perfect for cosy, well made and stylish jumpers. I bought a jumper from Gap last year and I wear it constantly, it’s so well made and whilst slightly more expensive I know it’ll last me many more years to come. I found the same type of jumper from Esprit here and I may have to buy it, it’s so gorgeous and I think I would get so much wear out of it. Stylish yet comfortable and definitely cosy.

Oversized jumpers or just jumpers that are bought a few sizes bigger are a perfect way of being comfy yet stylish in winter. Much like the jumper mentioned above, Urban Outfitters also do great alternatives as well. Whilst browsing their website, this cropped jumper caught my eye. Although I don’t particularly like wearing cropped clothing in winter, bought a few sizes up it would look so cute with some culottes. Culottes in winter you might ask? Wear them with tights and boots – you have an extra layer and yet still look super cute.
Feel as if your outfit is too plain? Why not add a red lip to add a pop of colour to your outfit, a simple way of still being stylish yet effortless at the same time. I love Rita by Nars, it’s the perfect bright red for all year round.
What are your ways of staying stylish yet being totally cosy at the same time? Let me know in the comments, you might even help someone else as well!

I love using makeup to accent any outfit I'm wearing! The red really polished off the coat here, but I always add a burgundy shade or pink to pop off any all black or all grey outfit I may be wearing for the day!

Again, I love that sweater so much and that red lip tho! My way of staying cosy and still looking good (hopefully) is just wearing a casual oversized hoodie and fitted trousers with a north face jacket because it's bloody cold nowadays >.< u look so cute

Red lips are so in especially since it is nearly winter time, it is such a festive colour! Love the outfit especially the sweater, it looks really soft
