I’ve never done this post before but I thought it would be fun to do! This month in particular I’ve really been getting into using Instagram and I’ve been trying to post nearly every day. If you’re not already following me my username is @eleanorclaudie (because a little self promo never hurt anybody). I thought I would share with you the photos I’ve posted this month and also how I edit them for any of you that might want to know! Writing this post is also more fun than reading Romeo and Juliet for school, because yes I am procrastinating but I think I’ll go crazy if I continue reading it right now.
Most of my photos are taken on my phone (my IPhone 5S) and sometimes my Nikon Camera. I find that lighting is definitely key to ensure the photos are clear and crisp! Side note: has anyone seen or have the new IPhone SE because I’ve seen them advertised but not that much and I’m interested to see what they’re like – let me know in the comments if you have!
To edit my photos, I don’t do much but the app I swear by is VSCO cam. Usually, I increase the exposure by +1 (if it is a bright day then I don’t have to increase the exposure) and then increase the contrast by +1 as well. If the photo is looking dull I might also increase the saturation by +1 to just make the photo look less dull. For a filter I always use F2 and just put it up by 4-6 instead of the usually 12 because I just want a subtle filter especially if I have previously edited it with contrasts/exposure. That is all I do with my Instagram photos (sometimes I crop it if I’m taking it on a camera but that isn’t particularly necessary) and then I hit upload!
I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at my Instagram posts from this month; let me know your Instagram username down below and I’ll have a look!
